Maggie Cramer is a writer, mother, and educator living in Evanston, Illinois. Her work has appeared in East on Central, the Women Made Gallery, Mom Egg Review and After Hours Press. Past residencies have included the Kolaj Institute Poetry Residency (2024).

Maggie’s writing explores the intersections of mythology, memory, and motherhood. Her work includes creative prose, free verse poetry, and erasure poetry. She is a founding member of The Glass Eye Collective, an ongoing creative congress that honors the wisdom of our grandmothers.

Maggie received her B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her M.S. in Teaching from Northwestern University. She was a Stanford University Hollyhock Teaching Fellow from 2019-2021.
